When the sky is the limit

His name means little child. He came to us with four other siblings, at the age of four. He was tiny and sickly.

Beautiful Hands

He was nine when he arrived in Batang Pinangga. Strong, observant, amiable, frank, and yes, sensitive.

Batang Pinangga

is a coined Visayan word which means BELOVED CHILD

Batang Pinangga helps revive caring communities who would help care for the children, take them away from the streets, send them to school, provide for their needs, become their family. And this means to revive and re-activate the Filipino cultural value of “bayanihan system”.

Partners

Batang Pinangga binds and forges cooperation with sponsors, donors, and individuals on the basis of mutual understanding and unconditional partnership, upholding and protecting the rights of the children, as indicated in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).

Batang Pinangga works with partners that supports its mission, in the belief that the work for the children remains in the hands that care and the hearts that see. “It is only with the heart that can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye (Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince).
